Guangzhou is a prosperous metropolis and the capital city of Guangdong Province on the south coastline of China. The city has fast accessibility to Hong Kong and Macau and serves as the political, economic, scientific, educational and cultural center in Guangdong area. Climate

With monthly percent possible sunshine ranging from 17 percent in March and April to 52 percent in November, the city receives 1,628 hours of bright sunshine annually.
Pearl River — ‘Scenery Corridor’
The Pearl River in Guangzhou has a length of more than 2,000 kilometers and is the third longest river in China. The bridges, decorated by colorful shining neon lights, seem like fantastic rainbows spanning the river. The water in the river reflects the magnificent lights in shimmering patterns. Cruise ships full of tourists ply the waters at a leisurely pace. Visitors can enjoy a stroll along the river and soak up the colorful night view.
Canton Tower
It was designed for Guangzhou television but is not in use. With a height of 595.7 meters, it is the second highest TV tower in China and the fifth highest free standing tower. The tower has been a must-see scenic spot in Guangzhou. From the top, visitors have a birds-eye view of the whole city. Inside the tower are wonderful entertainment items, romantic restaurants with delicious food and several fine lookout platforms for shooting photos. There is also an option to free-fall from the tower. During the evening the lights are lit and it is a sight to behold.
Baiyun Mountain
Here you can stroll idly by the river and mountains, and mingle with the birds. The lake is so clear that the beautiful sights surrounding the lake are perfectly reflected in the water, like a brilliantly drawn picture.
Shamian Island
Shamian Island has great historic significance. From the Song and the Qing Dynasty, it served as an important port for Guangzhou’s foreign trade. Surrounded by water, it is just like a giant ship mooring alongside the wharf. The architecture is European and there is a park in which you can find people strolling around. All over Shamian Island are there golden statues which create a great unique photo opportunity.
Chimelong Tourist Resort
Chimelong Paradise is a major amusement park in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Opened on April 12, 2006, Chimelong Paradise is the largest amusement park in China and boasts the 10 Inversion Roller Coaster. Chimelong Paradise is operated by the Chimelong Group, a Chinese tourism company that also operates numerous other attractions, including Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, the Chimelong Safari Park and Chimelong International Circus. A Water Park also opened now at Chimelong Paradise and is a big attraction during the hot summers here. All are full of excitement and wonder waiting for your arrival.

Yue Ju (Cantonese Opera)
Yue Ju (Cantonese Opera) is an opera style popular in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hong Kong, Macau and wherever overseas Chinese are found in Southeast Asia. It is sung and read in Guangzhou dialect. The vocals rise and fall in ever changing cadences, and the melodies are harmonious and graceful. You can have a listen when you are traveling there.
Pearl River Night Cruise
Guangzhou Pearl River or Canton River is called Zhu Jiang in Chinese. It is the third longest river (2200 kilometers, after the Yangtze River and the Yellow River) of China. The branches of Zhu River including Eastern Branch, Western Branch and Northern Branch converge together in the Guangzhou section of Zhu River. Sceneries along the Pearl River are beautiful and are especially charming at night. Taking a riverboat cruise on the Pearl River is such a enjoyable thing to do in Guangzhou, that most every tourist there will enjoy it. Guangzhou Pearl River at night is bright among neon lights and is a breath taken highlight of Guangzhou nowadays. Pearl River is quiet, and you can just put your mind in melodic sound from the waves. There are several night cruises available. Some are just cruises and some others provide tea and Chinese delicacies. A dinner cruise on the Pearl River is quite romantic!
